According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are preparing a €10m bid to sign Filip Kostic in January and will have showdown talks with Marcelo Brozovic’s agents next week.

Kostic has been chosen as Ivan Perisic’s heir at San Siro.

Perisic will leave Inter at the end of his contract in June and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, he will return to the Bundesliga in 2022-23 with Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg mentioned as possible destinations.

Kostic’s Italian agent Alessandro Lucci is on very good terms with Inter and the Nerazzurri are working to secure a deal in January.

Kostic’s was close to joining Lazio in the summer and his contract expires in June 2023.

Eintracht Frankfurt warn Inter over Kostic January move

However, Eintracht Frankfurt director Markus Krösche has warned the Nerazzurri that the Kostic won’t leave the club in January.

“We don’t want to sell Kostic, N’Dicka or Kamada in January,” Krösche told Bild last week.

“They are important players for us and we won’t let them go in January. We must recover the lost ground in the second part of the season, so we can’t afford to lose them.”

Meantime, the Nerazzurri are trying to reach an agreement over Marcelo Brozovic’s contract extension.

The Croat sees his current deal expire in the summer and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, there will be a new ‘decisive’ meeting between the Serie A champions and the player’s entourage next week.

Antonio Conte’s Tottenham and Newcastle are reportedly interested in signing the Croatia international on a free transfer at the end of the season.
