Inter are reportedly ready to enter talks with Marcelo Brozovic when he returns from EURO 2020, given that his contract expires in June 2022.

Tuttosport reports the Nerazzurri are planning to sit down with the Croatia international when the 28-year-old returns to Milan.

Croatia were eliminated by Spain in the last 16 of the competition and Simone Inzaghi wants to make sure the defensive midfielder remains at the Nerazzurri.

But the signing of Hakan Calhanoglu on a €6m-a-year deal has reportedly led to economical demands from Brozovic.

The Croatian played 33 times in Serie A 2020-21, helping the Nerazzurri pick up their first Scudetto in 11 years and a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed he is asking for €6m a season to renew his deal.

Brozovic is currently on a €3.5m-a-year contract and Tuttosport believe Inter are ready to offer him a new deal worth €5m a year.
