Multiple reports in Italy claim Inter prefer Trevoh Chalobah and Manuel Akanji to Francesco Acerbi who, however, seems the easiest target to sign.

Lazio have agreed to send Acerbi on loan to Inter, but the two clubs are still negotiating over the loan fee and according to Gazzetta, Tuttosport and Il Corriere dello Sport, the player’s agent Federico Pastorello will meet Inter directors today.

Acerbi is no longer on good terms with Maurizio Sarri and Lazio fans, so he is pushing to leave the club. He is the easiest transfer target to sign for Inter, but the Nerazzurri want to explore other possibilities.

The three main Italian sports papers claim Chalobah and Akanji are higher on Beppe Marotta’s agenda, but neither player is easy to get.

Chelsea are still unwilling to send the Chalobah on loan to the Stadio Meazza, while Akanji doesn’t want to extend his expiring contract with Borussia Dortmund.

The Bundesliga side are aware that their star defender wants to leave, but demand at least €15m, which Inter can’t afford.

Inter have decided against selling Milan Skriniar and are now looking for a new centre-back to replace Andrea Ranocchia who has joined Monza.
