At least six Inter players will leave by the summer and according to Gazzetta, the Nerazzurri have targeted Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino for 2023-24.

Several players see their contract expire in June and many of them won’t be signings new deals at the Stadio Meazza.

Among them, are Roberto Gagliardini, Danilo D’Ambrosio, Samir Handanovic and Milan Skriniar who has already reached an agreement with Ligue 1 giants PSG.

The Nerazzurri will soon open talks with Stefan de Vrij who also has a contract expiring in June.

This is not all as the Serie A giants will also try to offload Joaquin Correa and Denzel Dumfies whose agent Rafaela Pimenta has held talks with several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Newcastle and Manchester United.

The future of Romelu Lukaku and Francesco Acerbi is also in doubt. Both players joined Inter on loan last summer, but while the defender has offered convincing performances and could stay, the Belgian striker has been highly disappointing and must earn a spot in the team for 2023-24 in the second part of the current campaign.

According to Gazzetta, Liverpool’s Firmino is an option for the Nerazzurri for next season, especially if Lukaku leaves. The contract of the 31-year-old at Anfield expires in the summer. Marcus Thuram, also available for free in June, is another option for Inter, but competition is stiff.

There are more free agents on Beppe Marotta’s agenda as the Nerazzurri director is already looking for Skriniar’s replacements.

Roma‘s  Chris Smalling is an option and the same is true of Eintracht’s Evan Ndicka. Giorgio Scalvini and Rodrigo Becao are long-time targets of the Nerazzurri who, however, must negotiate with Atalanta and Udinese given that the players’ contracts do not run out this coming June so they are not available for free at the end of the season.
