Inter would sign Real Madrid's Karim Benzema among many others if they made it to the Champions League, say reports.

The Nerazzurri have a tough job ahead of them to balance their books whilst building a strong team capable of challenging for the Scudetto.

Reaching third place and qualifying for next year's Champions League would mean a substantial financial bonus, which would let them move with greater freedom on the transfer market.

Reaching third place and qualifying for next year's Champions League would mean a substantial financial bonus, which would let them move with greater freedom on the transfer market.

The Corriere dello Sport ran an extensive article on Inter's alleged transfer plans should they manage to access the Champions League.

Sporting director Piero Ausilio would reportedly mount an assault for Real Madrid's Benzema to replace the possible departure of Mauro Icardi. Alternative strikers include Ajax's Arkadiusz Milik and Sao Paulo's Jonathan Calleri.

For the wings, Lazio's Antonio Candreva, Sassuolo's Domenico Berardi, Lille's Sofiane Boufal and Bayer Leverkusen's Karim Bellarabi are all potential targets.

Manchester City's Yaya Toure, Sampdoria's Roberto Soriano, Marseille's Lassana Diarra, and Ajax's Riechedly Bazoer make up the list of names for Inter's midfield. Ever Banega from Sevilla seems a certainty regardless of the Biscione's financial means, as he would be joining as a free agent. The same may be said of Fenerbahce full-back Caner Erkin.

With the departure of one between Miranda, Jeison Murillo and Juan Jesus from the defence, the club will look to Ajax's Joel Veltman, PSV Eindhoven's Jeffrey Bruma, and Schalke 04's Roman Neustadter. Inter are also looking at several full-backs, including Torino's Bruno Peres, Manchester City's Clichy-Zabaleta, Sassuolo's Sime Vrsaljko, Benfica's Jose Semedo, and Paris Saint-Germain's Gregory van der Wiel.

Finally, Inter may go for Juventus' Neto should Samir Handanovic be sold.
