Inter reveal their full-back Dalbert sustained a knee injury while training in Brazil and will have to undergo surgery.
“The Nerazzurri full-back Henrique Dalbert suffered a knee sprain during the individual pre-season training in Brazil,” the club said in an official statement.
“The exams at the Humanitas Clinic highlighted a lesion of the anterior cruciate ligament. The player will undergo surgery in the coming days.”
The Brazilian defender is not part of Simone Inzaghi’s plans, but the Nerazzurri were planning to sell him this summer.
Dalbert spent the last season on loan at Cagliari, collecting 26 Serie A appearances.
