More details are emerging about the attempt from Inter to beat rivals Milan to the signing of free agent Marcus Thuram, ready to out-bid their wage package.

Sportitalia had already reported on Thursday evening that the Nerazzurri were doing far more than just trying to irritate their city neighbours on the transfer market.

Those talks intensified today and Sky Sport Italia are also now confirming that Thuram is fielding two very similar proposals from the clubs at San Siro.

Libero newspaper reporter Fabrizio Biasin maintains Inter have even surpassed the €5m plus bonuses salary on offer from Milan, bidding €5.5m plus add-ons if he signs with them.

Thuram already informed Paris Saint-Germain yesterday that he will not be signing for them, but that does not mean Milan have a clear path to the former Borussia Monchengladbach talent.

After all, Inter had approached him first and were on the verge of a move in the January transfer window, only for that to be scuppered by an injury to the France international.
