Inter are convinced that they can agree a deal with Marcus Thuram and have scheduled a decisive meeting with his entourage, reports detail.

The Nerazzurri are ready to pick up a new striker in the coming months after the struggles of Joaquin Correa, who has failed to show much of note in the Lombardy capital. The 25-year-old Thuram is an intriguing option, and with his contract expiring with Borussia Monchengladbach in June, would be a lower-cost target.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are preparing a concrete offer for Thuram and have scheduled a new meeting in Milan with his entourage, keen to try and iron out an agreement.

The Milanese club are confident that they can secure the 25-year-old’s signature and hope to agree terms with the player in the coming weeks, after the World Cup in Qatar.

Inter have already spoken to Correa’s entourage and made it clear that they’re ready to give up on the Argentinian forward, asking his agents to find an agreeable move.
