Inter have reportedly opened talks to sign Uruguayan starlets Facundo Torres, and Mathias Olivera as Chelsea still want €20m to sell Emerson Palmieri.

The Nerazzurri are on the lookout for a new left winger, and La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper reports two players are on their radars.

One is Facundo Torres, a 21-year-old under contract with Penarol until 2023.

According to reports in South America, the Nerazzurri have offered €12m to sign the player who has a €17m release clause included in his contract with the Uruguayan club.

Getafe’s Mathias Olivera is also an option for the Serie A champions who met the player’s agents in Milan yesterday.

The 23-year-old has a €20m release clause, which Inter are not willing to trigger. Getafe may agree to sell the player for €14m, but Inter have not offered as much yet.

Both Facundo Torres and Mathias Olivera are attacking wingers and it remains to be seen how they would adapt to Simone Inzaghi’s 3-5-2 system.

The Nerazzurri continue to monitor Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri but the Blues want €20m to sell the Italy international. Meantime Achraf Hakimi is destined to leave the Stadio Meazza with both Chelsea and PSG interested.

Inter have slapped an €80m price tag on the former Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund star.
