According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have opened talks to sign Emerson Palmieri, while Achraf Hakimi has reached a verbal agreement with PSG

The Italy international has emerged as a transfer target for both the Serie A champions and Napoli, but according to La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper, the Nerazzurri have already taken the first concrete steps to sign the former Roma man.

According to the report, Chelsea want at least €20m to sell the 26-year-old, but Inter are negotiating to lower the player’s price tag given that his contract expires in June 2022.

Meantime, the Nerazzurri are planning to sell one of their top players to keep the books in order.

Achraf Hakimi seems destined to leave, but the Nerazzurri want €80m for the Morocco international.

PSG are in pole position to sign him and although the Ligue 1 giants haven’t yet met Inter’s economic demands, they have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with the former Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund winger.

Chelsea and Tottenham are also monitoring Hakimi with Spurs who could make an opening bid if Antonio Conte is appointed as their new head coach.

Ivan Perisic could also follow Hakimi away from Inter as his contract expires in 2022.
