According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Inter have offered a contract extension to Alessandro Bastoni who is being monitored by Manchester City and Tottenham.

The Italy international’s current deal expires in June 2024 and according to Gazzetta, the Nerazzurri have offered their defender a new €4.5m-a-year contract until 2027.

According to the report, Inter made their offer during a recent meeting with the player’s agents Tullio Tinti, Paolo Castellini and Manuel Montipò who are also the representatives of Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini, a target for the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2023.

Bastoni is an Inter fan and refused to even listen to offers from other clubs last summer.

However, according to the report, his entourage has taken time after receiving the offer from Inter. The two parties will meet again in the coming weeks.

Manchester City and Tottenham are long-time admirers of the 23-year-old, who joined Inter from Atalanta for €30m in 2017.
