Inter are still on the hunt for a new forward, having doubts about Albert Gudmundsson, and have been offered Domenico Berardi and Memphis Depay.

The Nerazzurri have been fairly quiet in the first few weeks of the summer transfer window, only picking up Genoa goalkeeper Josep Martinez and free agents Piotr Zielinski and Mehdi Taremi. They’ve also been quiet in the outgoing market, not losing any first team players yet.

Inter have two main targets ahead of the new season, wanting to pick up a new left-footed defender and a forward capable of acting as a second striker. In the meantime, no buyers have come forward for unneeded players Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa.

Inter forward options

Page eight of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport takes stock of Inter’s hunt for a new centre forward, confirming that Beppe Marotta’s first choice option is still Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson. Doubts arose surrounding his serious legal battle in Iceland, which has caused things to stall.

Depay is currently a free agent and has been proposed to the Nerazzurri, but his age and €5m net per season salary requests have not proved convincing. Berardi was also offered to the club, but there are doubts surrounding his age and the financial viability of a deal.
