Inter will reportedly offer a new deal to Milan Skriniar, but Stefan de Vrij could leave at the end of the season, with Tottenham and Newcastle interested.
The Nerazzurri are working on extending their key players’ contracts. Skriniar will be the next one they’ll sit down with after shaking hands with Alessandro Bastoni, Lautaro Martinez, and Nicolò Barella.
According to Calciomercato.com, the Serie A champions will open talks with the Slovakia international at the beginning of 2022.
Inter want to tie the defender down to a new deal.
His current €3m-a-year deal expires in June 2023 and Inter are reportedly open to offering him a new €4m contract until June 2025.
The 26-year-old is a regular starter under Simone Inzaghi and has played 15 games across all competitions, playing all of them from start to finish.
He’s only missed one game at a club level since the beginning of the season.
However, according to the same report, his defensive partner Stefan de Vrij could leave San Siro in the summer.

De Vrij’s contract also expires in June 2023 and both Tottenham and Newcastle have been linked with securing his services.
Calciomercato.com reports the Dutchman will be the player ‘Inter will sacrifice’ should they need to sell one more star to balance the books.
A few weeks ago, Inter director Beppe Marotta ensured that the Nerazzurri would not sell another top player after the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi.
However, according to multiple reports in Italy, his agent Mino Raiola is trying to find a Premier League club for his client.
