Serie A Sunday closes out with a blockbuster clash between frustrated league leaders Inter and a Napoli side on the rise.
The match between the Nerazzurri and the Partenopei kicks off at 19.45 UK time at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in San Siro, Milan.
Whilst Inter have been almost flawless in Serie A this term, they’ve been left embittered following their ill-fated Champions League campaign, which was cut short by a penalty shoot-out loss to Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid in the Round of 16 on Wednesday evening.
The Nerazzurri are without Juan Cuadrado, Stefano Sensi, Carlos Augusto and Marko Arnautovic, all sidelined with injuries.
Napoli also crashed out of Europe this week at the hands of Xavi’s Barcelona, letting them focus on Serie A for the remainder of the season. Francesco Calzona’s side have started to recover their form in recent weeks, beating Juventus and Sassuolo, but their 1-1 draw with Torino proved frustrating.
The Partenopei’s only concern is Victor Osimhen, who is working off a slight muscle complaint.
Inter have come out on top in both of their meetings with Napoli this season, winning 1-0 in the Supercoppa Italiana final and 3-0 in the league.
Probable line-ups for Inter vs Napoli
Inter (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, Acerbi, Bastoni; Darmian, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Buchanan; Lautaro, Thuram.
Napoli (4-3-3): Meret; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Juan Jesus, Olivera; Anguissa, Lobotka, Traorè; Politano, Osimhen or Simeone, Kvaratskhelia.
