Coach Roberto Mancini has reportedly asked for four new players, including two wingers and a central midfielder, but no moves will take place until the squad is significantly trimmed.
The problem is that a number of players have rejected moves away, with Xherdan Shaqiri refusing to join Stoke City, Davide Santon rejecting Watford and Nemanja Vidic turning down Everton.
With Inter still determined to recruit, and Ivan Perisic top of the list, Gazzetta reports that director general Marco Fassone is attempting to force moves through, with Shaqiri being pushed toward Schalke 04, as well as interested Premier League clubs Newcastle and Everton.
