According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Andreas Christensen is one of Inter‘s main targets for 2022-23, but Bayern Munich are also strongly interested in the Chelsea defender.

The Denmark international sees his contract expire at the end of the season and hasn’t yet reached an agreement to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge. Therefore, he is eligible to sign a pre-contract agreement with any club ahead of a free move in the summer.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, he is considered an ideal replacement for Stefan de Vrij, who could leave San Siro at the end of the season.

Christensen earns €4.5m at Chelsea, a salary in line with Inter’s finances. He is also looking for a team that can offer him regular playing time, so the Nerazzurri could make their offer in the coming weeks.

However, Bayern Munich are also strongly interested in the 25-year-old. The Bavarians are likely to sign Matthias Ginter as a free agent. The Germany international was also in Inter’s sights.

Marcos Senesi (Feyenoord), Martin Hinteregger (Einthract) and Luiz Felipe (Lazio) are also among Inter’s targets. Luiz Felipe’s contract with Lazio expires at the end of the season, but according to Marca, he has already signed a four-year deal with Betis.

2 thought on “Inter must beat Bayern Munich to signing Chelsea defender Christensen”
  1. Di Vrij would be a loss, but if Inter can get a fee for him and Christensen for free, it’d be a good deal. Especially given the age difference.

  2. @FERBAN: it would be an amazing deal, however Inter are not in pole position for him. Barcelona and Bayern can probably offer more.

    Inter`s main target remains Bremer.
