Inter and Milan target Gleison Bremer said he will leave Torino as he wants to play in the Champions League and would be ready to represent Italy if he is not called to the Brazil squad.

He added: “My dream is to play for the Brazil national side but since I arrived in Italy, I was welcomed with open arms.

“I was named the Best Defender in Italy. I’d like to play for Brazil but if one day they don’t want me and Italy call me, I’d go without question.”

  1. Never realze how far Italy has decline. ‘if the call never came happy to play for Italy. ‘ for this statement alone he should never be considered for Nazionale. One good season ONE and he thinks he is the best thing happened in football. Italy has a lot of talents just that the club and coaches don’t have the balls to give them a chance. We really do need an Italian version of athletic Bilbao, or sociedad.

  2. That statement was so disrespectful to Italians but what else do we expect? Look at players like Emerson and Joao Pedro. Both played for Brazil at youth level and only ended up playing for Italy because they weren’t called up for Brazil. By calling up such players, who haven’t even been fantastic for La Nazionale, why wouldn’t other Brazilian players now look at Italy as a fallback. At least Jorginho always said he wanted to play for Italy rather than Brazil.
