Arturo Vidal is expected to leave Inter this summer, but Flamengo face competition from Boca Juniors for the Chile international.

The 35-year-old is under contract with the Nerazzurri until June 2023, but is widely expected to make a move away from San Siro before that.

It is also possible that he could terminate his contract early and be allowed to choose his next destination as a free agent.

There have been reports for months now that Flamengo was going to be the club for Vidal in the 2022-23 campaign.

However, a different South American club has now emerged, with TNT Sports Argentina claiming that Boca Juniors have been in contact with Vidal to ask for his availability.

Despite not being first choice at Inter, Vidal still made 41 competitive appearances this season, scoring two goals and contributing four assists.

He has been in Europe since moving to Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2007, also playing for Juventus, Bayern Munich and Barcelona before the switch to Inter as a free agent in 2020.
