Sky Sport Italia claim Inter are meeting with Sassuolo directors this evening to discuss Davide Frattesi, who has also been linked with Juventus, Roma, Milan, Brighton and Arsenal.

The midfielder is widely expected to leave the Mapei Stadium this summer having already been on the verge of an exit last year towards his hometown club Roma.

The Italy international spoke at a press conference today and suggested he wanted to remain in Serie A before attempting an experience abroad, so will again keep Arsenal and Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton and Hove Albion waiting.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter chiefs are having a dinner with Sassuolo directors this evening and discussing a potential move to San Siro.

The asking price is over €30m and there is plenty of competition from within Italy, as Roma are joined by Juventus and Milan in the race for his signature.

The 23-year-old scored seven goals in 36 Serie A appearances for Sassuolo this season.
