Inter director Piero Ausilio is said to be in London for talks with Arsenal and Costa Rica forward Joel Campbell.

He shot on to the scene during the World Cup in Brazil, where his Costa Rica eliminated Italy and England in the group stage.

However, he has struggled since returning to Arsenal from a loan spell, playing just 131 minutes of football.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter director of sport Ausilio is currently in London for talks with Arsenal over Campbell.

He had also been linked with the club before, but is now more suited to Coach Roberto Mancini’s tactics than predecessor Walter Mazzarri.

Campbell can play as a centre-forward or start wide right and cut in for a 4-3-3 system.

Ausilio is expected to be in the stands for tonight’s Premier League match Chelsea v Tottenham, as he is also keeping an eye on Erik Lamela.

However, Campbell would be a much easier option to secure, particularly in January.
