Inter could ask Manchester United for Donny van de Beek on loan if Christian Eriksen cannot continue his Serie A career following heart surgery.
Eriksen had an ICD implanted, which will help regulate the cardiac rhythm after his collapse during Denmark’s game against Finland.
Although some leagues do allow for a player to continue his career with this implant, Serie A rules are strict and may well not consider him to be fit to play.
Inter are therefore looking at other options and Calciomercato.com are pointing towards Van De Beek.
The 24-year-old Dutchman made a huge €39m move from Ajax to Manchester United last summer, but failed to provide much of an impact at Old Trafford.
He scored one goal and contributed two assists in 36 competitive games this season, only starting 15, then was ruled out of Euro 2020 by injury.
Manchester United want at least €30m to sell, but might prefer to loan him out so that he can regain his confidence.
