Inter have reportedly joined the race to sign Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi who could replace PSG and Newcastle target Marcelo Brozovic.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims the Nerazzurri have already opened preliminary talks with Sassuolo and Frattesi’s agent Beppe Riso, joining Juventus, Roma and Milan in the race to sign the Italy international.

According to the report, Frattesi is ‘particularly fascinated’ by a potential move to the Stadio Meazza in the summer.

Inter are aware that competition for Frattesi is fierce and could offer their starlet Giovanni Fabbian in a player-plus-cash swap deal.

However, the signature of Frattesi seems tied to the future of Brozovic, who could leave the Stadio Meazza in the summer despite a contract expiring in June 2026.

According to Gazzetta, both PSG and Newcastle have already sounded out the midfielder’s availability, but negotiations with Inter are still not at an advanced stage.

The 30-year-old has two goals and six assists in 38 appearances across all competitions this season.
