Simone Inzaghi has been handed a boost to his available options at Inter, as both Milan Skriniar and Federico Dimarco could return in time to face Lecce on Sunday afternoon.

Both defenders were absent during the Nerazzuri’s disappointing 1-0 loss to Thiago Motta’s Bologna at the Dall’Ara last weekend.

Skriniar, who has been identified as one of Inter’s star players under Inzaghi, missed out on the Bologna game due to an abdominal injury sustained earlier in the week. Dimarco was sidelined with a muscular fatigue issue.

Thankfully for Inzaghi, the injuries to Skriniar and Dimarco are not long-term issues and both could be in contention to return against Marco Baroni’s Lecce on Sunday, reports Sky Sport Italia.

Skriniar and Dimarco conducted individual training programmes on Wednesday morning and should be able to rejoin the group before the end of the week.

Matteo Darmian filled in for Skriniar on the right-hand side of Inter’s back three in the loss to Bologna, whilst German international, Robin Gosens deputised for Dimarco on the left flank.
