Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri stormed off the pitch before the end of Inter-Juventus at the Stadio Meazza minutes before Danilo D’Ambrosio and Leandro Paredes were given straight red cards.

The Bianconeri tactician didn’t wait until the final whistle and left the dugout even before the stoppages. It’s something he is accustomed to and does when the games get too tense and he doesn’t see what he likes from his players.

He didn’t reemerge from the tunnel, leaving his assistant Marco Landucci and Leonardo Bonucci guiding the team from the touchline.

“They didn’t need me anymore at that point. I was getting irritated, so rather than get myself booked or sent off, I decided it was best to leave. I left it in their hands, the players knew what they were doing,” Allegri explained in his post-match interview with DAZN.

It was a tense and fiery Derby d’Italia at San Siro, ending with one red card each. One for Inter defender D’Ambrosio and the other for Juventus midfielder Leandro Paredes.

They had provoked each other before an attacking throw-in for Juventus, seconds before the end of the game and tension erupted after the final whistle with a brawl involving many of their teammates.
