Inter are after Crotone's revelation defender Gian Marco Ferrari, but Juventus could get in the way.

The Nerazzurri are planning on selling Juan Jesus, possibly to Chelsea, and then replacing him with a different central defender.

While sources speculated that their target could be Sassuolo's Francesco Acerbi, there is now the sense that they may gamble on a prospect from Serie B.

Ferrari is 24-years-old and had a real breakout season this year. Crotone value him at €5m, a price which Genoa shied away from, but the Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the club from Milan may be able to lower that cost by including some exchange players of their own.

Things may not go entirely smoothly however, as Juventus are reportedly thinking of signing the player and turning him over to Sassuolo on loan.
