Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has agreed a contract extension until 2024, according to various reports in Italy.

He arrived from Lazio at the beginning of last season and won the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa.

Various reports, including suggest an announcement over the extension will be made this week, with La Gazzetta dello Sport even claiming it will be on Tuesday.

Despite the success in the cups for Inter, there was disappointment in the league as Inter had the Scudetto in their own hands but let it slip with just four matches remaining to hand Milan the advantage.

Though the Nerazzurri fought until the final day of the campaign, they eventually missed out on retaining the title by two points.

Inzaghi had built an impressive reputation in Serie A before arriving at Inter, having won a Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa twice at Lazio.

He also led the Biancocelesti to a top-four finish in 2019-20.

  1. Defense us not a problem Italian boys naturally knows how to defend So we will find a better replacement.

  3. Inter have spend millions more in comparison to Milan and look how that happened. On paper Inter should have walked it this term, and should do so this coming campaign. I would not be surprised if Inzaghi messes it up and then looks to blame everything including Putin.

  4. When we look at net transfer expenditure, Milan have accumulated way more defisit balance from the transfer market since 3, 5 or even 7 years ago, compared to Inter. Milan are not the underdog financially here. It’s just Inter have been a little bit smarter to not let go of their best players for free.

Inzaghi has done well after losing lukaku & hakimi. But I must say Pioli has done even better with players that seem weaker on paper.

  5. Inter are building a Ferrari team with a Lada engine. This guy is just not good enough to win, especially now that the pressure is on to do so. They’ve just condemned themselves to another runners up place.
