Inter have invited a long-time fan to this evening’s Derby della Madonnina after she revealed that she could not purchase a season ticket this year.
The fan, known as Mrs Giancarla, has been buying Nerazzurri season tickets for 35 years, and her story touched the hearts of the fans so much that Inter gave her the ‘fan of the month’ award back in December.
Due to the COVID pandemic, Mrs Giancarla was unable to purchase season tickets to the San Siro as usual, and so she was set to miss out on today’s Derby della Madonnina.
The elderly fan was ready to go to take four trams in order to go to the Giuseppe Meazza stadium today, where she planned to stand outside to follow the match on her handheld radio, but this will not happen.
Inter have invited Mrs Giancarla to the San Siro for this evening’s derby and she will also be taken to the stadium, avoiding the need to take four trams.
