Inter are hoping to bring Romelu Lukaku back into the fold this week but things are different injured midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.

The Nerazzurri have started to shake off their poor start to the season, stringing together positive results against Barcelona, Sassuolo and Salernitana. Confidence is back and Inter are now hoping to pick up as many points as possible in the run-up to the World Cup break.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lukaku will undergo a new round of medical tests today and if everything comes back positive, he’ll return to squad training again, working towards match fitness.

Things are a little more difficult for Brozovic, who is still sidelined with a hamstring injury. The Croatian midfielder will continue his physical therapy programme as he slowly works on his recovery.

Federico Dimarco, who left the pitch yesterday clutching his thigh, will be fully evaluated but the club are not too concerned, believing it to simply be a cramp problem.

No concerns surround Samir Handanovic either. The veteran goalkeeper suffered from finger discomfort but the issue isn’t too serious and won’t force him to the sidelines.
