Inter have been in contact with Felipe Caicedo’s entourage today and the parties are deep in negotiations.

The Nerazzurri’s management met today to discuss this month’s transfer market and their strategy, with coach Simone Inzaghi attending through Zoom after testing positive for COVID. One of the names that was brought up was Caicedo, and things have now started to move forward following this meeting.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Inter are in advanced negotiations with Caicedo’s entourage, discussing the length of his possible contract with the club. He should be able to leave Genoa for free due to a clause in his contract, although this has not been confirmed yet.

The Rossoblu have already reached an agreement to sign Caicedo’s replacement Roberto Piccoli, and so they are ready to say goodbye to the Ecuadorian striker after only six months.

Inzaghi knows Caicedo well from their years together at Lazio, where the forward scored a number of decisive last-minute goals.

  1. When some teams need a striker they ask for a 32 year old Caicedo while some teams ask for DUSAN VLAHOVIC ! it’s awesome i’m loving it !

  2. Great signing, inzaghi’s super sub, he was not the top scorer but i think that he had the best goals to generated points ratio!

And to our juBentino friends I tell you one thing: even with vlahovic you won’t have a chance in reaching inter, milan or napoli!

  3. @ i love Marco Branca – the reason is Rube need Vlahovic – 0 shots on goal. Inter only need short term backup because they already have fantastic forwards, and also own Pinamoneti, esposito, saleco, facundo…get the picture?

  4. @I MISS MARCO BRANCA AT INTER… When some teams need a striker they pay 70millions for VLAHOVIC while some teams take DYBALA for free! it’s awesome i’m loving it !

  5. ILMB@INTER is like the court jester at this site. Everyone’s laughing at him.

Nothing excites me more than seeing Inter’s being financially prudent and making shrewd transfers instead of overpaying for overrated, semi retired players like that other club

That’s why Inter is the champions of Italy and the other club is fighting for the last CL spot

It’s awesome and I’m loving it

  6. @Penaldo

The reality is that Inter have the best attack in the league so no need to spend 70mill on 1 player like the desperate 5th placed juve are doing

  7. He will simply be the fifth wheel upfront, just in case it gets ugly with injuries. Our main investment in January will be on the left, hopefully gosens or kostic.
