Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos is among Inter‘s main targets in 2022-23, with the Nerazzurri on the lookout for a back-up for Marcelo Brozovic.
The Nerazzurri have struggled to cope without the Croatia international this season, having collected two points in the only three Serie A games played without the 29-year-old this term.
For this reason, one of Inter’s priorities is to find a valuable replacement for Brozovic in 2022-23. Stefano Sensi should return from his loan at Sampdoria, but Simone Inzaghi is eager to sign another player in the middle of the park.
According to Tuttosport newspaper, Dani Ceballos is Inter’s No.1 option. The Spain international is tempted to return to his former club Betis, but Inter remain in the race and see Ceballos as an ideal reinforcement, also considering his versatility.
The 25-year-old, whose contract in Madrid expires in 2023, can play as a deep-lying playmaker or as a Mezzala, so he could even replace Nicolò Barella or Hakan Calhanoglu when needed.
