Inter hit Rafinha problems

Inter are said to be frustrated by Barcelona’s refusal to lower the €30m asking price for oft-injured midfielder Rafinha.

The two clubs have been in negotiations for several days and the idea is to sign him on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

The main sticking points are not only the cost of the option, but also whether it is to be made mandatory.

Inter are pushing to make the option voluntary and no more than €18-20m, claim Mediaset Premium.

Barcelona, on the other hand, want guarantees the Nerazzurri will buy Rafinha outright and do so for €30m.

The Brazilian has not played since April due to a series of injury problems and will need a thorough medical before signing the contract.

His fitness condition is another of the main reasons why Inter are hesitant to make such a big commitment.
