Edin Dzeko posted an image of his time in the Manchester City jersey after his old club booked a Champions League Final against his current side Inter.

The 37-year-old Bosnia international played a key role in securing their qualification for the June 10 showdown in Istanbul, as he scored the opening goal in the 2-0 semi-final victory over Milan.

That tie was eventually decided 3-0 on aggregate, with goals also from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Lautaro Martinez.

Now Dzeko will battle against Romelu Lukaku for the opportunity to start that Final at the Ataturk Stadium next month.

He wore the Manchester City jersey from 2011 to 2015, when he came to Italy for Roma, then moved on to Inter practically for free in the summer of 2021.

So far this season, Dzeko has scored 14 goals and provided five assists, including four goals in 12 Champions League appearances.

His contract is due to expire on June 30 and it remains to be seen if he could end this season lifting the Champions League trophy.
