Rozzano’s mayor Giovanni Ferretti confirms Inter have the ‘priority’ for a feasibility study for a new 70,000-seat stadium and hopes the project will be completed by the beginning of 2025.

With Milan moving away from San Siro and building a new stadium in the area of San Donato by 2029, Inter are also working to build their new home. The Nerazzurri have identified Rozzano, a city just outside Milan, but still part of the Metropolitan City, as the venue for their new home.

“Inter want to build a stadium with a capacity of 70,000 and a sports city close by,” Rozzano’s mayor Giovanni Ferretti told Radio Nerazzurra on Monday.

“It’s an area that can be enjoyed throughout the week, not only for match days. With shops, a museum, restaurants and pitches to play five-a-side football, beach volleyball and padel. We know an extensive infrastructure can’t be built without an adequate traffic plan.

“The project has not started yet. Inter have the priority until April to verify a feasibility study,” continued Ferretti.

“That will be the first step and then the whole process will start and be completed between the end of 2024 and the start of 2025.”
