However, according to Sky Sport Italia, the Chinese bid was little more than a bluff from his agents to boost the asking price.

Dembele still has his sights set on China and cashing in with one last big contract.

Therefore, Inter hope to sway him by offering one or two years at San Siro, then a future transfer to their sister club Jiangsu Suning.

Both sides are owned by Suning Group and this could give Inter the upper hand ahead of Juventus.

They still face the difficulty of Spurs asking for nearly €30m when the offer so far stands at €10m.
