Inter have been following Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi for some time now and they’ve developed a clear plan as they look to secure his signature.

The 22-year-old Italian midfielder has been one of the stars of the Neroverdi’s season, scoring four goals and providing two assists in 20 Serie A appearances. One of his goals was in the 2-1 win over Juventus back in October.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Inter’s plan to sign Frattesi involves 19-year-old Italian defender Lorenzo Pirola, who is currently on loan with Serie B side Monza. Sassuolo chairman Giovanni Carnevali is a big fan of the centre back and would be keen to acquire him.

Inter value Pirola at around €9m, whilst Sassuolo value Frattesi at around €25m, which could even rise to €30m should the Italian midfielder’s strong form continue or improve over the coming months.

Both the Nerazzurri and the Neroverdi are in talks and are discussing a loan exchange with obligation to buy clauses attached, with both clubs wanting to pull off permanent transfers.

  1. Would be great if Inter could get this done! Pirola is a useful bargaining chip, as with Bastoni and DiMarco, we are well set for LCB…

  2. Frattesi would be a fantastic addition to Inter’s midfield. I hope sensi can win his spot back from calhanoglu one day. How nice would it be to have an all Italian midfield of barella, sensi and frattesi. Would be good for inter and the national team.

    What position is fratesi?
Sensi Will never be a player to rely on. I also hope but it will never happen.
And brozovic is untouchable, our nr1 CM!
