Martin Satriano has started well on loan with Empoli, earning a call up to the Uruguayan national team, and Inter have a plan in mind for the 21-year-old.

The Uruguayan forward joined the Nerazzurri in January 2020 from Nacional in a deal worth around €3m, being integrated into their Primavera side. He spent six months on loan with Ligue 1 side Brest last campaign, scoring four goals in 15 appearances, and he joined Empoli on a season-long loan deal in the summer.

As detailed by Calciomercato.com, Inter duo Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio are keeping a close eye on Satriano’s development at Empoli and the pair are planning to integrate him into Simone Inzaghi’s squad once he returns next summer, assuming everything continues going well in Tuscany.

Edin Dzeko’s expiring contract, the uncertain future of Romelu Lukaku and the financial issues plaguing the owners make the talented 21-year-old an attractive idea for next season onwards.

  1. When they say they have a plan, they mean a price sadly: baresi, pirlo, coutinho, bonnuci… so many youth products inter have sold prematurely

  2. Yes, Inter‘s plan tends to be sell them for 15m and then spend that 15m on wages for one year on two 33yo epl has-beens singed on frees.

  3. Lol right, inters plan is to sell him to get money to extend dzekosaurus and gagliardinhos contracts another 2 years and buy baby Zhang another sports car.

Inter is the worst club in the world at developing talents for the first team, he has no future are inter.
