Inter will not make Adem Ljajic’s loan transfer from Roma permanent, claim reports.

The Serbian forward arrived over the summer for €1.75m with an option to buy for a further €11m.

However, according to Sky Sport Italia and Goal.com, the Nerazzurri have decided against activating that option.

Ljajic is increasingly irritated at spending so much time on the bench and Inter already have plenty of forwards at their disposal.

Above all, Ljajic is one of the only loan deals Inter have in place that does not have a mandatory option to buy.

The 24-year-old has scored four goals in 26 competitive games for Inter this season, although he only made 14 Serie A starts.

It could become a problem for Roma, who also have Juan Manuel Iturbe and Seydou Doumbia on loan deals with options to buy.

Bournemouth do not seem remotely interested in activating the clause to keep Iturbe, while Newcastle United intend to hand back striker Doumbia after just 29 minutes of Premier League football.
