Inter defender Robin Gosens may be forced out of action on Wednesday against Bologna following a muscle injury sustained during this morning’s training.

Calciomercato.com reports that the Germany international may not travel to the Dall’Ara on Wednesday because of a slight injury suffered today.

Gosens could have started his first game in a Nerazzurri shirt in Bologna, but today’s injury means he could be ruled out of the game, so Ivan Perisic will likely get the nod at left wing-back. According to the report, the 27-year-old will start on the bench at the Dall’Ara in the best-case scenario.

Gosens joined the Nerazzurri from Atalanta on loan with an obligation to buy in the January transfer window. He scored his first goal for Inter last week in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final against Milan.

Inter will jump to the top of the table, one point above their city rivals Milan, if they win against Bologna on Wednesday.
