Inter have announced that goalkeeper Gabriel Brazao ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and will require surgery.

The incident occurred during Monday’s training session and tests today confirmed the worst scenario.

The Brazilian turns 21 in October and had been linked with a loan move to Serie B side Cosenza.

Brazao spent previous seasons on loan in Spain with Albacete and Real Oviedo.

He is expected to be out of action for at least four to six months.
