Suning have mandated Los Angeles law firm Latham & Watkins to take care of the legal aspects of the sale of Inter, reports detail.

Sportmediaset highlights how the Zhang family are still working hard to find buyers for the Nerazzurri, having recently given mandates to US banks Raine Group and Goldman Sachs to help with the sale of the club. Latham & Watkins will seemingly take care of the specific legal aspects of a takeover.

Inter’s owners are reportedly unhappy with these rumours and clarified that the talks relate to the search for a new minority shareholder, but this will be discussed further during Steven Zhang’s meeting with the shareholders later this week.

Last month, Zhang met with Sacramento Kings owner Vivek Ranadive to discuss a possible deal but things have fallen quiet on this front in recent weeks.

Reports suggest that Suning are looking to complete the sale of Inter before May 2024, when they’ll have to pay €275m back to Oaktree due to a loan made a 12% interest rate.
