Inter director Piero Ausilio said “it’ll take a few more days” for Yaya Toure and the Manchester City man “has not had a medical.”

The Nerazzurri are on the verge of a takeover by Chinese group Suning, which should be announced on Monday morning.

“We knew there were talks for the influx of new capital in the club, but we thought it would be as minority shareholders,” Ausilio told the Corriere dello Sport.

“Now instead it’s talk of a total change in ownership.”

The technical director was also asked about reports Inter will go for Yaya Toure and let slip it’s an advanced situation.

“I think it’ll take a few more days. That is assuming there are negotiations… He is a player who Roberto Mancini likes a great deal, he’s very good, but also very expensive.

“I don’t know if Inter will be able to get him and for now we cannot decide: we have to abide by UEFA Financial Fair Play limitations.

“I can confirm he has not had a medical with us.”
