After Romelu Lukaku said he is ‘happy to be back home’ at Chelsea, Inter fans pointed out he said the same thing about them in February.

The striker completed his transfer for €115m today and returned to the club he first joined in 2011 from RSC Anderlecht.

“Happy to be back home,” was his first tweet over the clip released by the Chelsea social media team.

Nerazzurri supporters, who are still waiting for his promised message to them, pointed out that Lukaku had said something remarkably similar only a few months ago.

When a supporter in England asked on Twitter when he was coming home, his response was: “I am home right now.”

Fans joked by suggesting wherever Lukaku lays his hat, that’s his home, as the song goes.

Inter fans defaced the mural of Lukaku that was only painted in May outside the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza to mark their Serie A title victory.

  1. When he signed for Man Utd, he said something along the lines of – I’m blessed to have joined the greatest team in the world 🤦🏻‍♂️ This character is a serial turncoat. His whole career is defined by jumping ship the first opportunity he has had. Nothing that comes out of his mouth is really ever worth taking notice of. He was just extremely lucky to have found a club with a top manager, an immense striking partner in Lautaro and a good midfield, defence and goalkeeper behind them. He is not a leader or a player to come to the rescue when backs are against the wall. Turncoat of the lowest order.

  2. Not an Inter fan but I really feel for them, same thing happened to Napoli fans when Higuaín went to Juve. I don’t know how players sleep at night when they do this to their fans.

  3. I heard he left because he has not played a round of 16 match in Champions League in years and playing for a team that finished last in a group so weak that 2 games would have got Inter through made him look really bad. Maybe at Chelsea he can fight for a CL trophy

  4. @the guy missing Marco

Mate, Chelsea won the CL without a Lukaku, or shall I say without a proper striker.
Reverse logic says Chelsea do NOT need Lukaku to win it. Just proved it a fra months ago.

Yes it’s a good addition, Yes he doubled his wage, Yes he is a moneyhungry liar. wait till he is outcasted from Chelsea and people will be laughing at his dumb decision (as someone said, Lukaku was ALWAYS jumping ship at the 1st sign of problems).
