Inter fans have again appealed to Milan Skriniar to sign a new contract with them, while director Beppe Marotta insists there is ‘no deadline’ for the talks.

The Nerazzurri host Parma in the Coppa Italia at San Siro this evening, kicking off at 20.00 GMT.

Supporters already put up a banner urging Skriniar to stay with them as their ‘captain’ going into the future.

Now the ultras have raised another banner ahead of this match: ‘Stay in Milan, you are our captain.’

Skriniar is only under contract with Inter until June 2023 and could within days begin formal negotiations to join another club as a free agent over the summer.

He has not yet given a response to the final offer of a new deal from Inter, so Marotta was asked about the reports they are setting a deadline to get the signature or let him leave.

“We won’t set any deadlines, these dynamics happen in every club. We’re concentrated in a very difficult period with many games and want our focus to be there,” the CEO told Sport Mediaset.
