Simone Inzaghi will call up Primavera forward Dennis Curatolo for Inter’s next game against Sassuolo due to their injury crisis up front.
The Nerazzurri lost forward Joaquin Correa during the 1-0 win over Barcelona on Tuesday due to an issue, with tests revealing that the Argentinian forward suffered a tendon injury. The Milanese club have limited options up front and Inzaghi will have to tinker with his squad a little in an attempt to secure all three points against the Neroverdi.
As highlighted by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Romelu Lukaku will not take play much of a role in Inter’s clash with Sassuolo on the weekend, still dealing with a thigh injury. The Belgian forward is hoping to be fit enough to take part in the game against Barcelona next week before he makes his first start in over a month against Salernitana.
Correa is also out for the Sassuolo game and Lautaro Martinez’s condition isn’t 100%, leaving just Edin Dzeko in peak fitness for the clash. Inzaghi will therefore call up the 18-year-old Curatolo on the weekend and he could be forced to rely on youngster Valentin Carboni as well.
this is exactly why Inter payed Alexis Sanchez to leave the club LOL
Money talks and bull walks, mate.
