Inter are still looking to sign a new midfielder and have reportedly set their sights on Tottenham’s Tanguy Ndombele.

The 26-year-old Frenchman has not been included in Ange Postecoglou’s squad for their first three Premier League matches nor their FA Cup outing last night, which they lost to Fulham on penalties.

Ndombele spent last season on loan with Scudetto champions Napoli, where he saw 1261 minutes of action across 40 total appearances, netting two goals and providing one assist.

As reported by TMW, Inter are unsure that Stefano Sensi will be a reliable option for Simone Inzaghi this season, so they’re looking to add a new midfielder to the squad. Among their list of targets is Ndombele, who could leave North London before the end of the summer transfer window.

The Nerazzurri are fans of the 26-year-old, who was recently linked with a move to Genoa, because of his physicality and low overall cost.

Ndombele joined Tottenham in July 2019 from Olympique Lyon in a high profile deal worth around €62m, a price tag he never lived up to in North London.

  1. Too slow & predictable player. He’s dances around very slowly in predictable fashion during games & easily dealt with by opposition. Hopeless player. The spurs scout who recommended him ought to be fired from his profession.
