With Denzel Dumfries targeted by Premier League clubs Chelsea and Man Utd, Inter are considering making a move for Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazraoui according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 25-year-old Morocco international has impressed during the Qatar World Cup, helping his side reach the semifinal at the end of a stunning campaign, and is considered an ideal replacement should the Dutch leave the Nerazzurri.

An Ajax academy product, Mazraoui left the Amsterdam outfit to join Bayern Munich on a free transfer in June 2022, collecting 18 appearances across all competitions for the Bundesliga reigning champions so far.

Inter had been monitoring the Moroccan full back closely in the past and looked eager to bring him to the Stadio Meazza at the end of his contract, only to see him being poached by the German powerhouse.

Yet, La Rosea reports that Bayern Munich could join Chelsea and Manchester United in the race for Dumfries, who has started every match for the Netherlands at the World Cup, scoring one goal and delivering two assists in five games.

An offer from Bayern Munich could pave the way for the Nerazzurri to open negotiations for Mazraoui, given they play in similar positions.

However, the Bavarian side face stiff competition for the Dutch, as both Premier League giants are reportedly tempted to line up a bid in the January transfer market instead of waiting until the summer window. While Inter seem open to letting Dumfries go, they would only accept lucrative offers for a player they have signed from PSV on a €15m deal in August 2021.

  1. No forget that. He is not worth. He made many mistakes. The media continues to make up excuses for Inter to sell Dumfries but he is the most difficult player to replace right now. That system only works with spectacular and disciplined wingers. How can the most difficult player that is able to replace be the first player to be sold???
