Inter recently met with Marco Sommella, the agent of Ciro Immobile, to sound out a possible summer move for the Lazio captain.

Things have not been easy for the 34-year-old Italian striker this season, with recurring minor injuries and poor form hampering his work on the pitch, limiting him to just six goals across 25 league matches.

As a result, the previously strong relationship between Immobile and Lazio has begun to fray; he was recently accosted and insulted by a group of fans whilst out with his family and suffered further abuse after Valentin Castellanos came off the bench to drive the team to a win over Frosinone.

Page 12 of today’s Tuttosport details how a number of agents were seen coming and going at a hotel in Madrid on Wednesday, meeting with Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio. Whilst his meeting with Lautaro Martinez’s agent Alejandro Camano was widely reported, one chat went under the radar.

Inter met with agent Sommella, who represents Immobile, and the pair reportedly discussed a possible summer deal for the Lazio captain. The Nerazzurri are looking to bolster their frontline as they prepare to compete in multiple fronts including the Club World Cup next season.

The Italian striker has a contract with Lazio lasting until June 2026 and a salary of circa €4m net per season. He could push to leave the club in the summer, with Claudio Lotito’s recent quotes regarding the fan abuse alluding to the frayed relationship.
