Inter will be expecting to take another step forward to their Scudetto when they host a struggling Empoli at San Siro this evening.

The match between the Nerazzurri and the Tuscan outfit kicks off at 19.45 UK time at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan.

Inter are only weeks away from securing their 20th Scudetto, having been almost flawless domestically this term. Prior to their draw with Napoli, Simone Inzaghi’s side had won 10 consecutive matches, and their title victory seems in no doubt now.

The Nerazzurri are without Stefan de Vrij, Juan Cuadrado and Marko Arnautovic, all of whom are out injured.

Empoli had found a brief resurgence of form in the new year, picking up wins over Salernitana and Sassuolo, but their form has started to collapse in recent weeks, with three consecutive losses to Cagliari, Milan and Bologna. They sit tied on points with 18th place Frosinone.

The Tuscan outfit cannot count on Tyronne Ebuehi, who is out with a serious knee injury, and Ardian Ismajli and Alberto Grassi are both in doubt. Youssef Maleh is unavailable through suspension.

When these two teams met back in September, Inter picked up a 1-0 win over Empoli after a freekick from Federico Dimarco.
