Inter have suffered an embarrassing friendly defeat, going down 6-1 to Tottenham Hotspur.

It is Roberto Mancini’s side’s fourth loss of a pre-season where they have also been beaten by Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and CSKA Sofia.

Ivan Perisic cancelled out Harry Kane’s early penalty to level things up at 1-1 in the first half, but that was as good as it got for the Nerazzurri in Oslo.

From the moment Erik Lamela restored the Premier League team’s lead shortly before half time, it was a procession, with second half goals from Dele Alli, Kane again, Vincent Janssen and Shayon Harrison completing the rout.

The result will do nothing to ease speculation surrounding Mancini’s future, with the Coach having held talks with the club’s hierarchy last week in a bid to resolve differences of opinion over transfer strategy.
