Reports suggest that Inter are closing in on a deal for Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi after a positive step forward yesterday.

The Nerazzurri are looking to add a new defender to their squad ahead of transfer window’s closure, keen to fill the slot left by Andrea Ranocchia in the backline. Acerbi is a low-cost option who Simone Inzaghi knows well, and with his position at Lazio looking increasingly toxic, a deal would seem to suit all parties.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Acerbi’s agent met with Lazio yesterday to confirm Inter’s interest in completing in a transfer and the Roman club accepted the idea of a loan deal with a buy option attached, a key step forward.

The two clubs are now set to meet at some point next week to iron out the economic details of an agreement. Both parties are feeling confident and everything could be finalised within the next seven days. Claudio Lotito seemingly wants around €4-5m for Acerbi but may accept a slight discount in order to get the deal across the line.

Why do you insist on making others doubt your football knowledge?
Miki and Dzeko are Inter‘s squad players not starters. Every team have these kind of players like cuadrado, bonucci, danilo, zlatan, giroud florenzi among others.
Besides what did you do with your great midfielders of Rabbiot, Arthur and Zakaria? Could you find anyone to get rid of them?

  2. Your team sells Casadei for 15 mil and spends that money on Acerbi (5 mil) and Mkhitaryan signing fee and don’t forget about Sanchez’s termination fee, and I make others doubt my football knowledge? I see that Crazy Eyes Marotta has really deluded all Inter fans, so your nickname is well chosen!
